"Body, heaven, hell, bondage, liberation, fear all these are mere imagination. Brahman alone is real. Discrimination is that faculty by which Brahman alone is seen as real, all else as mere illusion. Brahman is the basic reality in all illusory phenomena. Maya is rooted in the pure Brahman. Maya is Brahman’s coefficient. Brahman has no qualities or attributes, because qualities and attributes involve distinctions and divisions. Therefore, It cannot be known to reason, but only to the highest experience of the mystic and sages."

"In every walk of life and at all moments, we must accept and use the ever-changing challenges, and while consciously meeting them train ourselves to become stronger individuals, with greater mastery over ourselves and over the outer world. This mindful way of living consciously, struggling to improve ourselves from moment-to-moment in our bodily strength, in our heart’s emotions, and in our intellectual capacities is the true religion, which transports even a base individual from his earthbound sorrows into the joys and perfection of a Realised sage."

Difference between Knowledge and Wisdom ( Jnanam and Vijnanam):-

We live in a world rife with information. Information without authority which we carry is "knowledge". But that which is authenticated by the scriptures is wisdom " Vijnanam" . People who carry information or disseminate it without real wisdom are pitied by the wise. Bhagavad Gita advises you that true knowledge comes from Guru. Anything around you, including your life experiences that teach you, should be considered a Guru. Bhagavatham speaks of 24 gurus. We have a golden opportunity to study Katopanishad that motivated Swami Vivekananda to spread unquestionable wisdom to the world. Katopanishad cautions you against our own reluctance to change which would degrade us and finally cause rejection. Knowledge is a burden but wisdom is strength. Here to walk the path of wisdom let us learn so we can flow like Ganga in grace and happiness.........Vidwan Sarvathra poojanthe".....   Katopani…

"Bhakti is the one essential thing. To be sure. God exists in all beings. Who, then, is a devotee? He whose mind dwells on God. But this is not possible as long as one has egotism and vanity. The water of God's grace cannot collect on the high mound of egotism. It runs down. I am a mere machine."

'Woman has suffered for eons, and that has given her infinite patience and infinite perseverance.
Women will work out their destinies much better, too, than men can ever do for them. All the mischief to women has come because men undertook to shape the destiny of women."

"Satsangam is not mere company of the wise. The walls of the temple know no God, but a Mumukshu gains in spirituality every moment of his stay in his Guru's presence..He watches every action of his Guru, hears every word he utters and comes to know every thought he thinks, the development of the disciple depends upon his capacity to tune himself to his Guru. This tuning to the wise is Satsangam."

"Lust, anger, greed, pride, hypocrisy, hatred, attachment, are the products of AVIDYA, that binds man to SAMSARA or the World. These should be overcome by steady effort. If you wish to attain the knowledge of the ATMA you will have to eradicate these evil traits which stand as stumbling blocks in the path of salvation. Return good for evil; conquer hatred by love and give life for death. Never speak ill of others. Also never hear ill of others. Never listen to one man blaming another in private."

Feel the Divine! Be Humble!
"The awareness about the divinity in everything helps us to know the value of entire universe and its connectivity. This awareness makes us humble, imparting love and abundance in us. Humbleness of King Mahabali elevated him to Suthalam-the abode of ultimate happiness. Let this 7th day of Onam helps us to be more aware and more humble."

"What is pleasure for you is pain for another man. What is pleasure for you now is pain after some time. The first two cups of milk give you pleasure. The third cup induces disgust, nausea, and retching. Milk does not give pleasure during fever. Therefore, pleasure is not in the objects, but in the imagination or inclination of the mind. Pleasure and pain, beauty and ugliness, are all false imaginations of the mind. Mind is a false, illusory product. Conceptions of the mind also must, therefore, be false. Pleasure and pain are in the mind only. It is subjective."

'This self-cleansing becomes difficult for the average man, because it is a subjective process, wherein each has to cleanse himself.
Hence moral living, ethical standards, *religious *virtues and cultural *values are often discussed; many people talk about them, but very few come to live them."

"A meditative mind always thinks positively. When one becomes positive, the energy level and capacity to focus on the present will be high. This enables one to do the activities with clarity and confidence. For such a person with positive approach and attitude success is natural, not an effort!
Have a blessed day!

“Live according to Nature, runs the maxim of the West; but according to what nature, the nature of the body or the nature which exceeds the body? This first we ought to determine.”

"Real happiness is within you. It is in the Atman. It is subjective. It manifests when the mind is concentrated. When the Indriyas are withdrawn from the objects outside, when the mind is one-pointed, when there is Vasanakshaya and Manonasa, when you become desireless and thoughtless, Atmic bliss begins to dawn, spiritual Ananda begins to thrill. The musk is in the navel of the deer, but it runs here and there to smell it. The chain is in the neck of the damsel, but she runs hither and thither in search of it."

"Man is the maker of his own world, and if today the world is an ugly place, it is because he himself is ugly. Cleanse your face with the soft towel of religion, and you will find that the brilliance in the world is but a reflection of the brilliance within you."

"You are love and you need to share that love. Life is a sharing of love, it is loving the body, loving oneself, loving others, loving God, loving nature, loving work. That energy of love in the end purifies us and helps us to go forward. But while the belief exists that love has to be linked to fear and suffering, we will be blocked and will put a brake to the flow of pure love."

"All the procedures of meditation are, in the end, ways of awakening the Soul-consciousness which, in its depth, is, at once, God-consciousness. What is apparently extraneous and outside one’s body gets vitally woven up into the fabric of one’s being in rightly practised meditation. In brief, meditation is the art of uniting with Reality."

"Spirituality does not mean only remembering God to purify oneself but to serve others with that pure love which you receive from God. Service, as stated in all religions, is one of the primary objectives of a beautiful spiritual life and service is nothing but purifying others with the help of a love filled connection with God."

"The love that you feel in respect of an object is in fact the love that you feel towards that which is called perfection and completeness. The mind does not want an object; it wants completeness of being. That is what it is searching for."

" 'Dusserah' indicates as the word suggest Dasa-Papa-Hara, or the end or liquidation of ten sins. The ten sins are attributed to the 10 sense organs through which the mind contacts and gains knowledge of the phenomenal world, and also reacts to the stimuli received from the world of objects. Therefore the idea is that on this sacred day, the ten sins are ended which signifies the end of the mind and therefore the end of the world of plurality when one becomes rooted in the Transcendental Experience."

"Practice of the presence of God always is the easiest, nearest and surest way of reaching God-consciousness. Feel His presence always and everywhere. Feel His indwelling presence in everything, in flowers, trees, dogs, horses, human beings, stones, rivers, stars, sun, moon fire, five elements, etc. feel that you think, feel cogitate, know, wish, talk, write, walk, etc., through Him. Feel His presence in all movements. If you do so, you will always be in joy, bliss, knowledge and immortality. So, practise the above precepts, silently, without any sort of exhibition. In the long run you will easily attain Godhood."

"What are the spiritual disciplines that give the mind its upward direction? One learns all this by constantly living in holy company. The rishis of olden times lived either in solitude or in the company of holy persons; therefore they could easily renounce 'woman and gold' and fix their minds on God. They had no fear nor did they mind the criticism of others."

"is best for another person may not be best for us and vice versa. Each one of us is in our own individual journey. All of us have traversed different paths and have different lessons to learn. It is following our own inner voice that will ultimately lead us to internal peace and harmony because then we will be doing what is in tune with our Essence - our soul!"
