22/12/2018. "If you want to be a yogi, you must be free, and place yourself in circumstances where you are alone and free from all anxiety. One who desires a comfortable and nice life and at the same time wants to realize the Self is like the fool who, wanting to cross the river, caught hold of a crocodile, mistaking it for a log of wood."

22/12/2018 "Difference between Knowledge and Wisdom ( Jnanam and Vijnanam)" : We live in a world rife with information. Information without authority which we carry is "knowledge". But that which is authenticated by the scriptures is wisdom " Vijnanam" . People who carry information or disseminate it without real wisdom are pitied by the wise. Bhagavad Gita advises you that true knowledge comes from Guru. Anything around you, including your life experiences that teach you, should be considered a Guru. Bhagavatham speaks of 24 gurus. We have a golden opportunity to study Katopanishad that motivated Swami Vivekananda to spread unquestionable wisdom to the world. Katopanishad cautions you against our own reluctance to change which would degrade us and finally cause rejection. Knowledge is a burden but wisdom is strength. Here to walk the path of wisdom let us learn so we can flow like Ganga in grace and happiness.........Vidwan Sarvathra poojanthe&quo

22/12/2018. "Learn to walk forward. To climb up we must at each step leave behind the lower steps of the stair-case. You will have to shed the childishness to gain the glory of *youth; again this is to be renounced to gain the reverence of age! Where is the glory for a youth who is yet childish? Can there be respect and salutations to an old crone who still looks out for an admirer!! Renunciation is the only way to *Perfection. Even a little renunciation is rewarded by immense blessings. *Renounce!! Image may contain : 1 person, sunglasses, beard and close-up"

22/12/2018. "Yoga is a process of rejoicing. It is not a suffering. It is a movement through happiness. From one state of joy, we move to another state of joy. Every adversity should stimulate more and more strength in us, enough to be able to overcome onslaughts of such types again. Every fall should propel us to a higher aspiration, a longing which should never be dampened, threatened or vanquished at any time."

22/12/2018 "Countless may the books you have read; of what avail are they? Many may be your charitable acts, building of rest houses; of what avail are they? Far are you from God, if there be no faith and devotion in your heart. Be firm in faith and strong in determination. Faith is simply prayer. Pray and wait. Wait and watch. Watch and pray. Application of faith and perseverance make the impossible, possible."

Make no conditions and none will be imposed on you. Let us give out of our own bounty, just as God gives to us." ***

25/11/2018  "Every Parent wants their child to be emotionally strong, to have sanskars of being happy, caring, sharing and respectful. The most powerful time to give beautiful sanskars to your child is when the child is in the womb of the mother. Stress, Anger, Fear and Worry in couples has a direct effect on the mind of the child in the womb. Virtue Baby is a programme which explores scientific and spiritual principles of Garbh Sanskar. Please share this invitation with every couple you know who is on this 9-month journey. " ***

25/11/2018 "There is One Centre in your being from Which come vibrations of Mantram; images also are revealed there from together with the Truth underlying them. Who is it that does all this? Reflect! He dwells within you and does everything. He awakens enthusiasm, He inspires without you knowing it. He is the omniscient Being. Why speak of Self-realization in the future? It is here and now only the veil that hides It has to be destroyed." ***

25/11/2018 "Yoga Patta - Symbol depicting power of concentration" Chapter - 3, Slokam - 42 of Srimad Bhagavad Gita says : “Senses are superior to the objects, Mind is superior to the senses, Intellect is superior to the mind, Superior to the intellect is the Self ” One who understands this great secret is in the right path of evolution. Self regulation is the means to become established in this knowledge. One who is established in this knowledge enjoys the inner freedom and strength. For this to happen one has to have a firm grip over the mind. And this can be achieved only through the power of concentration. Yogapatta – the band that is tied around the knees of Ayyappa Swami is the symbol of concentration. It reminds that one has to keep the mind undisturbed to enjoy the inner freedom, the divinity within. -Swami Saranam ***

25/11/2018 "A problem becomes a problem only when we know not the solution to the problem. Thus ‘life’ is a problem when we know not how to meet the life’s challenges rising around us. The stimuli coming from the external world, as they touch the objective mind, creates therein a problem, to solve which, it needs the guidance of the rational capacities of the intellect - the subjective mind." ***

25/11/2018 "Do not any more see many philosophies and many religions; they just don't exist for me. The control of the mind is, therefore, equal to the finding of the relation between the finite and the Infinite. Great persistence, great understanding and capacity to discriminate is here called for. The mind has to be handled in an intelligent manner, but persistently." ***

25/11/2018 "Concentration is holding the mind on to some particular object. An unbroken flow of knowledge in that subject is meditation. Meditation is regular flow of thought with regard to the object of concentration. Meditation follows concentration. Concentration merges in meditation. Meditation opens the doors of the mind to intuitive knowledge and many powers. You can get whatever you want through meditation. During meditation all worldly thoughts are shut out from the mind. Meditation is called Dhyana in Sanskrit and is the seventh step in the Yogic Ladder." ***

08/10/2018 "Our culture has been sustained on the values and rituals we follow. If a ritual is harmful to the society, it needs to be changed. In that sense, Hindu society has reformed itself umpteen times. But the issue in Sabarimala is the way the Deity is consecrated. He is celibate and has expressed HIS desire that women of the child bearing age stay away from that temple. When someone wants to visit me in my house, I decide who should come in. If the Deity in Sabarimala has a particular Bhavam, “Antharmukhatwam” and HE is pointing you to the inward journey of renunciation and detachment that is not a place for women of a certain age group. Our devotees should understand this reason and respect the wish of Ayyappa, over our limited understanding."

08/10/2018 "When the object is attained and enjoyed, when the desire is gratified, the mind moves towards the Inner Soul. It ceases functioning. It is filled with Sattva. All thoughts subside for a split second; the mind rests in the Soul within. The Soul's bliss is reflected in the intellect. But the ignorant man thinks that he is getting the happiness from the object; just as the dog which is biting a dry bone imagines that it is getting the pleasure from the bone, that the blood is oozing from the bone, whereas in reality, the blood comes from its own palate."

08/10/2018 "The importance of sadhana in spiritual life is great enough to compel the attention of anyone wishing to be freed from botherations. The vexations of life are due to entanglement in externalised forms, while freedom at once manifests itself when the universal nature of these forms is beheld."

17/09/2018. "There is such a thing as inborn tendencies. When a man has performed many good actions in his previous births, in the final birth he becomes guileless. In the final birth he acts somewhat like a madcap. To tell you the truth, everything happens by God's will. When He says 'Yea', everything comes to pass, and when He says 'Nay', everything comes to a standstill. Why is it that one man should not bless another? Because nothing can happen by man's will: things come to pass or disappear by God's will." ***

17/09/2018 "Desire, ignorance, and inequality this is the trinity of bondage. Desire, want, is the father of all misery. Desires are bound by the laws of success and failure. Desires must bring misery." *The great secret of true success, of true happiness, is this: the person who asks for no return, the perfectly unselfish person, is the most successful.* 'Despondency is not religion, whatever else it may be.' ***

17/09/2018. "You have within yourself tremendous powers and latent faculties of which you have really never had any conception. You must awaken these dormant powers and faculties by the practice of meditation and Yoga. You must develop your will and control your senses and mind. You must purify yourself and practise regular meditation. Then only can you become a Superman or God-man." ***

17/09/2018 "Every speck of space, every atom of matter, can be regarded as a vehicle which reflects one face of God. To think God would be to drown one's self in an indescribable completeness whereby one loses one's presence, the individuality evaporates like mist before the blazing Sun." ***

17/09/2018. "We cannot give what we have not. Therefore first create fullness. Good wealth, good emotions in plenty, great knowledge. Then give physical help to all. Give love and sympathy to those who deserve them. Give knowledge to all who need it. GIVE. To give is life, to take is death." ***

23/08/2018 "As we build our life, step by step, there is always a chance that we may now and then slip or fall. At such moments, let us forgive our own trespasses and learn to forget them. Let us forget to remember it and to worry over it! The glory of life is not in ‘never falling’, the true glory consists in ‘rising each time we fall’. Cheerfully let us rise up, courageously step on to the path and confidently march forward into fresh efforts with our head held high, proudly, with all confidence and full self-assurance."

23/08/2018 "There is no happiness at all in any of the objects of the world. There is not an iota of happiness in objects, because they are insentient. Even the sensual pleasure is a reflection of the Atmic bliss only. It is sheer ignorance to think that we derive any pleasure from the sense-objects or from the mind. When there is a desire in the mind, the mind is filled with Rajas. It is in an agitated condition. It is restless and not peaceful. It will be restless till the desired object is attained."
